Abstract:Green geological exploration is an inevitable trend for geological prospecting in Qinghai Province and even in China. It is necessary to understand the influence scope and form of geological exploration engineering on environment for green geological exploration; on this basis, a variety of advanced exploration technologies can be combined to minimize the degree of disturbed surface ecological environment to realize geological prospecting in pre investigation and survey stages. Environment-friendly flushing fluid, shallow sampling, shallow hole drilling with portable drilling equipment, deep drilling with heavy drilling equipment and multi-branch directional sampling drilling are involved, and by means of comprehensive collating data, 3D modeling method is explored to carry out green geological exploration.

Abstract:The length of the second open hole section is more than 5000m in the ultra-deep well of Shunbei area. Aiming at the technical problems, water sensitivity and pipe sticking of hole shrinkage in creaming mudstone of long open hole section, the leakage and collapse of Permian igneous rock and high friction, the optimization of drilling fluid formula was carried out. Through the tests of inhibition expansion, salt-resistant fluid loss control agent selection, shielding and plugging test of compound plugging agent, friction reducing test of compound lubricant ratio optimization, a highly inhibitive high-seal low-friction potassium amine drilling fluid system was developed. The indoor test showed that the rolling recovery and linear expansion of the Permian igneous rocks reach 95.09% and 1.86% in the drilling fluid, respectively, and the drilling fluid can withstand 5%NaCl, 2?SO4 and 20% drill cuttings contamination. The drilling fluid system was tested in Shunbei 1-2H. The average hole diameter enlargement rate of the open hole was only 13.55%, and the leakage loss was 83.8% lower than that of the Shunbei 1-1H well, complex period was decreased by 30.5 days in comparison with well Shunbei 1-1H. The application of high performance of inhibition and sealing potassium-amine polysulfonated drilling fluid effectively solved the problems in long open hole drilling process, which has broad prospects for application.

Abstract:The south Yellow Sea continental scientific drilling project is carried out in Quaternary and Neogene strata, according to the strata characteristics, multifunctional agent (MBM) and anti-salt copolymer (GTQ) were chosen as the main agents for indoor experiments to prepare flushing fluids. The suitable formula of flushing fluids was selected for Quaternary and Neogene strata drilling and applied in the offshore drilling site of CSDP-02, it is proved that the MBM seawater flushing fluids have good effects, which ensures the smooth drilling construction in Quaternary and Neogene strata.

Abstract:A super graphite deposit in Beizhen Dutun of Liaoning Province exists in metamorphic series. The genesis and characteristics of complex metamorphic formation were analyzed in this regional exploration and wire-line coring drilling and solid-free flushing fluid drilling technologies were used. By the analysis on the effect of flushing fluid on the stability of graphite rock seams, the flushing fluid system is optimized; the wall protection mechanism of flushing fluid is also analyzed and the technical countermeasures in drilling process is optimized to solve the problems of slurry cake and intermediate casing application. The deposit exploration is successfully completed with good technical and economic results obtained.

Abstract:Wire-line core drilling is prone to the problems such as lost circulation, borehole collapse and coring difficulty in complex structural belt, some improper handling or even leads to hole being abandoned. This paper introduces the construction difficulties of wire-line core drilling in complicated area with the example of Niu D1 well, and analyzes the inducing factors of lost circulation and borehole collapse, as well as the reasons for coring difficulties; then points out the reasons why the conventional anti-collapse and plugging technologies can not meet the needs of drilling construction in complex structural belt, and puts forward some operational specific improvement measures to optimize drilling fluid, optimize drilling assembly and improve plugging process. The experience summary of Niu D1 well construction could be the reference for the future construction of wire-line core drilling in complex structural belt.

Abstract:The integrated exploration engineering in northern Yichang phosphate is a large scale phosphate rock resources exploration project of Hubei Province. Due to the complex formation, heavy workload, difficult construction conditions and 1400m borehole depth, there are higher requirements for drilling construction organizing. In this paper, the geological drilling work of this project is briefly summarized with the analysis on the drilling technology and its application effects in Cambrian and Sinian strata.

Abstract:Great achievement has been made in enhanced oil recovery by the application of unbalanced drilling technology both in China and abroad, but the field tests of liquid phase underbalanced drilling were made in several wells without the obvious effects of increasing yield and economic benefit in Daqing. In this case, the geological and technological factors that influence the effects of underbalanced drilling are explored in theory and the technologies and application direction that should be further researched for underbalanced drilling are put forward with suggestions in this paper.

Abstract:Some ideas and suggestions are put forward according to the suitable conditions of hydro-percussive rotary drilling technology in geological drilling, drilling equipment configuration requirements, drilling fluid and field maintenance and new products development. It is believed that the current improvement of geological equipments and the strengthening of flushing fluid performance, quality and solid phase control (purification) are favorable to promote the application of hydro-percussive rotary drilling technology, small-diameter diamond wire-line core hydro-percussive rotary drilling technology has become the most widely used hydro-percussive rotary drilling technology. At the present , the revision of original geological and mineral standards “The regulations of hydro-percussive rotary drilling technology(DZ/T 0053—93)” is one of the good methods to promote the development of hydro-percussive rotary drilling technology in China. In the future, it is also necessary to strengthen the development and demonstration application of new type of high-energy hydro-hammer and attach great importance to the optimization of large diameter and hydraulic hammer non-coring drilling technology.

Abstract:During the drilling construction of water supply well in South Sudan, especially loose quicksand layer was encountered; it was difficult for hole drilling by conventional mud protection. This paper briefly explains the basic principle and working procedure of making the simple synchronous rotary shifter level on the water supply well construction site in South Sudan to realize the air drilling with casing and effectively solve the drilling problems in the quicksand. The improvement suggestions are put forward according to the existing problems in the application of this technology.

Abstract:Drilling-hole trajectory measurement is an indispensable technology of the exploration and development of HDR. However, this technology at present stage cannot meet the requirements of inclination measurement in HDR strata. High temperature and high pressure at the hole bottom is the key problem. For this reason, by the double-layer outer tube structure design with the pressure-bearing probe tube and non magnetic thermos bottle, the use of the advanced hard magnetic calibration, the selection of high temperature resistance elements and low-power circuit design, GRY-1 inclinometer is developed to meet the requirements of the drilling-hole in HDR strata at the temperature up to 280℃ and depth of 3000 meters. The practical results show that GRY-1 inclinometer has good applicability in HDR strata and can contribute to the exploration and development of HDR resources.

Abstract:Based on the ability of VLF electromagnetic waves passing through the stratum, the study is made on the impact of the earth to signals to evaluate the relationship between the frequency, power and signal passing ability, discuss the realization principles of signal localization in signal source, antenna, signal processing and filtering as well as the key technologies, select a reasonable way and carrier mechanism for underground-surface communication, build a simplified magnetic dipole sub-localization model to complete the orientation and depth determination. This paper summarizes the key programs of very low frequency electromagnetic waves localization technology to provide a new communication technology for in-hole signal transmission in drilling field, such as CBM horizontal well, horizontal butted hole, pilot hole of directional drilling and mine rescue.

Abstract:Bad seepage behavior caused by high saturation line has become the main potential safety hazard of tailings pond, which is one of the most direct reasons of tailings dam-break accidents. The natural flow radiation well for seepage draining system has advantages of safe and reliable drainage, seepage collecting pipe horizontally reaching into wide range of the dam, large displacement, fast decreasing of water level, low cost, long service life and convenient final-period management. Natural flow radiation well has been applied to 2# radiation well in Yumugou tailings pond with remarkable technical and economic benefits. Combined with the construction practice, the research and discussion are made on the key construction technologies of natural flow radiation well for seepage draining system, which can provide the beneficial experience for the similar projects in future.

Abstract:With the increase of the urban building density, the building groups in soft soil area are also increase, the foundation pit construction is restricted by the strict environments. Timely and effectively predicting the deformation caused by foundation pit construction and the impact on the surrounding environment, summarizing foundation pit deformation control technologies and the measures and verifying the implementation effects have important guiding significance for the design and construction of deep foundation pit in soft soil areas. Combined with the engineering practice of a foundation pit project in Nanjing, by means of theoretical analysis, numerical simulation and construction monitoring, the deformation caused by deep foundation pit excavation in soft soil area and the control methods are studied.

Abstract:Deep geological survey and exploitation of deep mineral resources are carrying out in China, and the 13th five-year plan sets the research on the exploitation and utilization of underground space, which are inseparable from deep drilling. The rocks encountered in deep drilling are mostly anisotropic ones; borehole is easy to be deflected in this condition, which affects the penetration rate and drilling quality. The related research has been carried on by Russian Professor Скоромных В.В. and some others, a new design idea of diamond bit with waterway of different sizes is proposed. The comparative experiment results show that the technical indexes of this new bit are better than the old diamond bits with standard waterway sizes, and this technology is worth while researching and discussing.

Abstract:The evaluation of the effect of landslide hazards prevention and control is a systematic project. Based on a great deal of field survey, an evaluation index system including 5 first-level indexes (basic element of landslide, control design, construction organization, stability and treatment benefit) and 11 second-level indexes are established. Based on the comprehensive fuzzy hierarchy estimation, the weight of each index is determined and the maximum subordinate degree of control effect is calculated. Taking the case of Liujiabao landslide in the Three Gorges Reservoir as an example, the calculation shows that the effect of control engineering is excellent; this is consistent with the actual situation, and the reliability of this method is verified.

Abstract:The drilling project of gold deposit in the northern sea area of Sanshan Islands began in 2012 to the end of 2012. 138 holes were constructed in land and sea with the total workload of more than 150 thousand meters and contract amount of 240 million yuan. This project belongs to a mega construction project with the characteristics of long construction period, large workload, large amount of investment, large number of construction machines and difficult management. Because of its involvement of offshore drilling, construction environment, transportation, and the means of implementation are much different than land drilling, based on the offshore drilling practice, starting from the organization setting, the analysis is focused on the project safety, schedule, quality and cost management; each job responsibility is identified and important processes and key links are strictly controlled. A set of safe, scientific and effective management method suitable for offshore drilling construction is put forward, which can provide reference for similar offshore drilling project.
