Abstract:By the application practice of flush fluid for scientific drilling in the Luobusa of Tibet, combining field laboratory tests and mud type, mud formula, performance characteristics and its use in the actual production process, a flush fluid formula is summarized, which suits for complex formations of collapse, broken, serious leakage and hole diameter shrinkage in Chromium iron mining area of Luobusa. The paper elaborates the application of different flush fluids and the existing shortcomings; explains the different effects of mud with the same formula in different drilling conditions, which provide some references to the selection of flush fluid formula for deep drilling in complex formations.

Abstract:Although the cost of oil base drilling fluid is extremely high, it always has incomparable advantages compared with water base drilling fluid for the complex formation drilling in offshore. According to the difficulties encountered in 3 complex blocks of an oil and gas field in western South China Sea, corresponding oil base drilling fluid formula, performance and maintenance methods are presented, the processing methods for oily drilling cuttings in different sea areas are discussed. The drilling practice proves that oil base drilling fluid is not only a very important guarantee for smooth drilling operation in easy-collapsed wells, HTHP wells and super-low pore pressure adjustment wells in old oil field, but also has good reservoir protection performance for oilfield exploration and development.

Abstract:When the temperature and pressure are higher than 31.10℃ and 7.38MPa respectively, CO2 becomes into supercritical state, the density of supercritical CO2 is similar to that of liquid, but the viscosity is higher than that of air and nitrogen gas, so it can drive the down-hole motor working and carry the cuttings out of the wellbore, which comes into being supercritical CO2 drilling technology. Supercritical CO2 drilling technology has the advantages of fast rock breaking speed, good gas and oil protection and high displacement efficiency, especially has the obvious advantages in the unconventional oil and gas reservoirs development. There are broad prospects for the application of combination of supercritical CO2 drilling and coiled tubing drilling technology in the pressure under balance drilling and pressure depletion formation. The paper introduces the supercritical CO2 technology about its physical characteristics, drilling process and the technical advantages as well as the related research progress and development trend.

Abstract:In the process of the fourth hole (WFSD-4) of Wenchuan earthquake scientific drilling project, the drilling fluid was contaminated by CO2 seriously and the drilling fluid performance was deteriorated with sticking & cutting increasing and poor liquidity, by which normal drilling was affected. Through the analysis on the influence factors of CO2 on drilling fluid and according to the mechanism and characteristics of drilling fluid contamination by CO2, the contamination rules, performance characteristics and corresponding treatment measures are summed up based on the laboratory experiments and field application cases: with pH value of drilling fluid keeping, acid radical ion etc. in drilling fluid can be removed by lime.

Abstract:Manual centering and placing drill pipes are the main methods of traditional way to load and unload drill pipes, which is inefficient with high labor intensity. To improve this unfavorable situation, BG mechanical pipe handler is developed to match with hydraulic rigs with tilting power head, it can accomplish loading/unloading and placing drill pipes mechanically by coordinating the manipulator and the clamping holder with tilting power head. This paper introduces in detail the structural design of the manipulator and rotary driving selection, the structural design of the clamping holder and clamping cylinder selection and the design idea of hydraulic system, in order to determine the reliability of this equipment in theory. The practicability of BG mechanical pipe handler is proved by field test.

Abstract:There are many types of platform used in offshore construction with different features. According to the characteristics of engineering, economy, and practice are the basic requirements to choose offshore construction platform. The increasing marine geological engineering projects also cannot do without the support of offshore construction platform. Abstract:The derrick model was established based on solidworks 2013, and ansys14.5 was introduced to make the finite element analysis on the rated load and model in strong winds. The analysis indicates that all the strength and rigidity of the derrick meet the requirement of safe use under the rated load in 8th-force wind with sufficient weld strength reserve of the key parts. By comparing natural frequency of the derrick and working frequency of the drilling machine, the analysis on the main vibration mode of each modal comes to that the derrick structure of drilling machine is designed reasonably.

Abstract:With the increasing depth of exploration,the size of drilling equipment becomes larger and larger, and the labor intensity of operators also increases. Based on this case, the 3500 hydraulic drilling rig requires a shift pendulum tube device to reduce labor intensity as well as to transport drill fast and safely. In this paper, the racking pipe device has been designed with a determination of the parameters and the mode of the moving parts to guarantee the racking pipe device move smoothly and operate safely and reliably. Meanwhile, ADAMS dynamics simulation software has been used to conduct motion simulation for the device to identify deficiencies in the design, and to give optimization recommendations.

Abstract:The working situation of wire-line core drilling is analyzed and three-dimensional simulation are made on the stress states on wire-line core drilling pipe and connection joint based on ANSYS. Through the numerical simulation, the position of maximum stress on the drilling pipe in different working conditions is presented, which have certain reference value to prevent drilling pipe breaking, optimize the design of connection joint thread and determine reasonable drilling parameters.

Abstract:To deal with the poor self-stability of loose formation and drill tools sticking caused by block-falling and hole shrinkage, new PDH-130 bidirectional rotary-percussion-extruding mole is designed by using the floating core tube to change impact piston stroke and achieve the reverse impact function when normal rotary-percussion-extruding drilling and drill pipe lifting are conducted. On the basis of the field tests, improvement is made on the structure of PDH-130 bidirectional impact mole to meet the construction requirements of rotary-percussion-extruding drilling in sand, gravel and other complex formations.

Abstract:A wharf reconstruction project lies in Monrovia, Republic of Liberia, where the silt and silt clay formations are thick with high compressibility and thixotropic. Considering the factors of stratum conditions, construction equipments, project period and project cost, the bored pile is designed according to the related standard and according to the site conditions and the characteristics of the bored grouting pile, and the construction process is formulated. Abstract:Trench cutting re-mixing deep wall (TRD method) is a new construction method introduced from abroad in recent years. In this paper, combining engineering case, TRD method is introduced about its wall construction theory, construction technology, main points of construction and the application scope and the analysis is made on its advantages and disadvantages in practice application. Abstract:Shield is the most effective method of city subway construction. As long as the reasonable tunneling parameters are set, synchronous grouting in tunneling becomes one of the key technologies in the process of excavation. With the reasonable grouting parameters, the influence on the surface of surrounding city environment can be effectively reduced. Through the quantitative analysis on the grouting volume and grouting pressure of synchronous grouting, the control level of shield construction parameters is improved; the conclusion can be applied to the shield construction for subway and also can be the reference for other related works.
