Abstract:Hydraulic driving head core drill is mostly fed by hydraulic cylinder and lifted by hydraulic winch. The lifting hydraulic cylinder drill without hoisting winch has been developed in several countries in recent years, which is different from traditional drill design concept with hydraulic cylinder not only as feeding mechanism but also as lifting mechanism. The heavy winch, crane and pulley block with complex structure are saved. The headframe size of hydraulic cylinder lifting system is small and light with no lifting load and the whole drill has advanced technical and economic index. The paper introduced the Sweden Sandvik shallow drill and Norway RamRig deep-hole drill of MH Co. about the structures and the development and application in some other countries; described the working principle and application characteristic of double hydraulic cylinder lifting and hydraulic cylinder-steel rope speed multiplication mechanism.

Abstract:The application of deep mixing construction technology in engineering field is presented. By the comparison of the advantages and disadvantages of present deep mixing construction machines, the paper briefly introduced the working principle of tri-axial mixing drilling tool with expansion drilling rod; composition, working demands and application features of each part. Some main parts were introduced in detail and the comparison was made on the traditional tri-axial mixing drilling tool in drilling depth parameters, system stability and operation.

Abstract:Potassium salt is the main raw material for producing potassium fertilizer, and it is a shortage mineral in China with the highest import dependency. Abstract:Natural gas hydrate is formed under the specific conditions of low temperature and high pressure. Low temperature drilling fluid is the key to get high quality samples of natural gas hydrate during exploration work. Acceptable low temperature drilling fluid for natural gas hydrate should be characterized by low freezing point, good inhibitive capacity and flowability. According to the characteristics of natural gas hydrate exploration and based on the laboratory experiments, the comparison and analysis were made on the influence of molecular structure of PAM, PHPA, PAC-141, Na-CMC and KHm; type and number of functional group to the anti-collapse capacity and flowability of drilling fluids. The results indicated that the low temperature tolerance of above mentioned additives could be listed in order from low to high as PAC-141<PHPA<PAM<Na-CMC<KHm, which would provide important reference for the preparation and application of low temperature drilling fluid in natural gas hydrate exploration.

Abstract:According to the features of bauxite formation, analysis was made on the drilling technology. By the theoretical discussion on conventional wire-line coring drilling, general dual-tube drilling and swivel type dual-tube drilling with PDC reinforced bit and by the comparison of field tests, the causes of sticking failure with conventional drilling methods in bauxite formation and low drilling efficiency were found. It was proved that the sticking failure could be solved by swivel type dual-tube drilling with PDC reinforced bit and the drilling efficiency was improved.

Abstract:Friction and torque are main factors that hinder extending of long horizontal section well. Optimization of well trajectory is one way to reduce friction and torque. Friction and torque of various well profiles with different build-up rate and different displacement before target are calculated, and the influence of friction coefficient on various well profiles is analyzed. The results show that low build-up rate and simple trajectory are suitable for extended reach horizontal well with long horizontal section.

Abstract:The calculation of gas injection displacement of air drilling methods is mainly by the minimum kinetic energy and the minimum rate law; the paper analyzes these 2 methods, the minimum kinetic energy method was optimized and the injection volume requirement for the hole of 81/2in with different depth were calculated. Analysis was made on the factors affected the gas drilling equipment configuration, and the configurations under different condition were finally determined, which could be the scientific basis for economic construction of gas drilling.

Abstract:The paper introduced the pile test in advance of a large engineering in Caofeidian. By the analysis on vertical bearing capacity test, internal force of pile test, low strain dynamic testing, ultrasonic testing and horizontal bearing capacity test of post grouting bored-grouting pile, 3-branch bidirectional squeezed pile and squeezed branch grouting pile, the possibility and reliability of pile completion was tested, which could provide the effective proof for the pile type selection and the construction of engineering pile.

Abstract:Based on the calculation analysis and the monitoring data study, the retaining structure with pile + soil anchor in soft soil was determined to be safe and feasible in soft soil area and the anchor pullout resistance can be guaranteed. The calculated deformation curve of retaining structure is close to actual situation. But taking account of the soil creep properties, there are some deviation between the calculation value of lateral displacement and measured value.

Abstract:To prove the mineral reserves and the occurrence of mineralization belt, wire-ling coring drilling test was made. Because of the complex geological conditions, the used bit was not well adapted to make good drilling results. Through the selection test of impregnated diamond bit and the drilling track, analysis was made on the impact of horizontal drilling on the bit. Based on the borehole track, reverse analysis was made on the relationship of horizontal drilling and borehole track, suitable bit for the mine geological conditions was selected with improvement methods and suggestions on preventing hole bending put forward.

Abstract:Some road tunnel construction projects inevitably pass through goaf area with risk and potential danger. A finite element numerical model was established to simulate the situation between tunnel and underlying goaf and analyze the influence of underlying goaf on tunneling safety under the conditions of different distance from the underlying goaf to the tunnel. The result shows that the influence of underlying goaf on road tunnels is obvious, when the distance between tunnel and goaf is less than 10 m, the effect is dramatically significant, and some pre-reinforcement methods must be taken for safety. The critical distance that underlying goaf will affect tunneling safety is about 40m, and when the distance is less than 40 m, the adverse effect must be taken into consideration in the design and construction.
