Abstract:This paper firstly introduces the deep excavation’s engineering situation, geological and hydro-geological conditions of Wuhan University’s Science and Technology Incubator Building, and mainly introduces design train of thoughts of choosing different timbering precepts according to field’s circumjacent condition. Abstract:The construction technology of deep foundation pit support in fine sands in Hangzhou was discussed. The foundation pit is the first one which used flexible wave pattern joints to connect diaphragm wall in fine sands. The success of the project provided the practice experiences for the similar deep foundation pit support. It is significant to Subway building in Hangzhou.

Abstract:Under the guidance of rock broken theory of flat base roller bit and conventional cone base wing shaped bits, the drilling mechanism of flat base roller bits in big deviation was analyzed. The key structure and main parameters of modified cone base roller bit were designed. The flat base roller bit was modified into cone base roller bit. The modified bits were used in project and good results were gained.

Abstract:During the construction of one Myanmar ship yard dry dock project,a part of wall of wells for pumping test collapsed. The local instability reasons comprise ground water dynamical action, compaction effect of pile foundation, pressure grouting. After taking some measures, including making using of ground water dynamical action, improving slurry performance, releasing the compaction effect of pile foundation and so on, there was no local instability happened, and the quality of wells was testified very good by pumping test.

Abstract:The general geological situation and drilling technology of geothermal well in Grand Canyon were introduced. The causes of small water output from the well which is located in limestone were analyzed. The measurement for increasing water output was provided and applied in practice. Two measurements for increasing water output were compared. The suggestions to increase water output in similar well was made.
