Abstract:Drawn upon the experiment and the experience home and abroad, the drilling criteria which is based on the control of the bit penetration amount is proposed to achieve optimum drilling performance. Abstract:Results of experimental research on diamond surface metallization with electrolyse plating and vacuum plating show that strength, thermal stability and penetration rate of metallized diamond are much better than that of nonmetallilized diamond, and performances of diamond plated with Ti are the best among all plated diamonds. Carbon in carbides such as TiC, Cr 2C 3, formed on diamond surface obtained with vacuum plating comes from diamond, but not from graphite. Therefore, vacuum plating is a prospective diamond surface treatment method.

Abstract:Since the flood in 1998, the engineering to control the seepage though dam foundations have increased rapidly, varieties of technical method concerned are widely used. High pressure jet grouting is one of these methods. The article discribed the different behaviours and shortcomings of these methods. Abstract:The problems in the free and fixed earth support methods for thd design of the anchored sheet pile wall for excavation are briefly discussed. A new method for the design is proposed. A forces equilibrium rather than moment equilibrium method is adopted to calculate the length from the point where the stress of the soil down to zero to the bottom of the pile. The calculation is simplified by the new method, and the results approach to the goal of safety and cost saving. The details of the calculation procedures and examples to demonstrate the calculation are presented in this paper.

Abstract:In order to evaluate HTHP properties of the new linear paraffin based drilling fluid (LPBDF), which was recently developed, a series of tests were conducted using selected LPBDF. The evaluation tests include HT aging tests, TH and HTHP rheology tests. Based on the tests, the regression equations were achieved, which can be used to predict the rheological behavior of LPBM under downhole conditions. The results of the study on HTHP properties of LPBM show that LPBDF can be used in deep well.

Abstract:The design principle of the ground subsidence monitoring bench march in Shanghai is described all rounds with its evolution, optimisation and construction features. The mineral exploration engineering theory and techniques are applied to design special borehole structures so as to convert the elevations of the formations at different depths to the ground level for correlating measurement. A total of 32 monitoring stations each consisting of one bedrock bench marks and several step bench marks have been set up for decades of years to form the ground subsidence monitoring system in Shanghai, which reflects the soft ground subsidence in Shanghai accurately and in time.
