Abstract:The slim-hole horizontal well adopts a non-standard size wellbore structure, which poses significant challenges in improving ROP and efficiency during drilling. Therefore, based on the rock mechanics and drillability of the Jiaoshiba block formation, combined with the requirements of the wellbore structure and wellbore trajectory design of the horizontal well, and based on the conventional guidance method of “efficient PDC +PDM +MWD/LWD”, the key drilling tools for the development of conventional shale gas horizontal wells were optimized and iteratively upgraded, and the “one-trip drilling” tool assembly was improved, formed a “122” (1 trip drilling for the first section, 2 trips drilling for the second, and 2 trips drilling for the third) integrated technical solution of efficient drill bits and PDM tools for slim-hole horizontal wells. The one-trip drilling technology for horizontal wells has been promoted and applied in 39 slim-hole horizontal wells in the Jiaoshiba block. 15 wells have successfully achieved the “122” goal, with significant results in ROP and efficiency improvement. This provides technical support and guarantee for the efficient development of shale gas fields in old blocks, and serves as a reference for ROP and efficiency improvement in other shale oil and gas and tight oil and gas fields.
