    Abstract:

    Through the experiment of physical and mechanical properties, the mechanical data of compressive strength, the tensile strength, the elasticity modulus, Poisson’s ratio of oil shale in Nong’an mining site were obtained in both horizontal and vertical bedding direction. The Biot coefficient, the average pressure and minimum principal stress and other parameters were calculated. The parameters of crack opening, extending pressure and the width in hydraulic fracture were determined.
