Comparative Study on Reinforcing Soft Soil Treatment Program in Dongtion Lake Area

Abstract:

Heavy tamping, consolidation by vacuum preloading drainage and dynamic drainage consolidation were used to reinforce the soft ground in Dongting Lake area. Based on the comparative study on various treated site parameter indexes, dynamic drainage consolidation method was found to be an effective method to deal with the soft clay foundation with the desired effects. The soft ground treatment program is economical and reasonable which can meet the demands of construction schedules at the same time.
