Emergence and Signification of New Drilling Technology for Scientific Drilling

Abstract:

During drilling of Well CCSD-1 of China Continental Scientific Drilling Project, a new type of drilling technology system with Chinese Characteristics was developed. The main contents of the system and its results gained in Well CCSD-1 were introduced. The scientific drilling projects which are implementing or will be put in practice were introduced in short. The good prospects of exploration engineering were forecasted, based on ‘the State Council’s Decision on Strengthening Geological Work’ which will be announced and ‘Crisis Mine Replacement Resources Exploration Plan’ which already started up in 2005.
