Verification of the Orientation Accuracy of Mathematical Models for Borehole Courses in Geological Exploration Drilling

Abstract:

Several mathematical models for borehole courses are introduced. The inclination measurement data of four boreholes are substituted in different mathematical models with the calculation results compared with the in site measured co ordinates of the deep pit exposed points of these boreholes. It is concluded that the orientation differences between different mathematical models for borehole courses don't affect the geological mapping significantly.
