Application of Well Log Information in ROP Prediction

Abstract:

Based on the analysis of the ROP prediction status quo home and abroad, the rock drillability method is chosen to predict the ROP in drilling at the Dongying Subsidence in Shengli Oil Field. The ROP formulae is set up for acoustic ROP prediction, and verified with the field information. ROP prediction is carried out for two wells at the same time, the accuracy of which exceeds 90%.
