The paper briefly introduces the development of hydraulic top-dirve waterwell drill in China and abroad and briefly introduces the advantages and disadvantages of hydraulic top-dirve waterwell drill； The paper analyses the requirement of hydraulic top-dirve waterwell drill in China； Speeding up hydraulic top-dirve waterwell drill in the process of localization are proposed.
