Abstract:

The method of combination of vacuum preloading and surcharge preloading is an effective technique to treat the soft soil foundation. The basic principles, the basic mechanism and construction technology of the method to strength the freeway’s weak soil are introduced. The outcomes are indicated in pictures, it is shown that the vacuum preloading in combination with surcharge preloading treatment method is successful; and it can be adopted in the similar engineering cases.
