It is always important to research building incline and cracking induced by differential settlement around foundation pit. Base on current computing method of ground settlement, ground settlement and building settlement induced by supporting, excavation and precipitation of foundation pit are analyzed by means of a finite element elastoplastic model with the engineering example. Numerical results indicate that the greater effect is induced by supporting and there is 20 mm’s difference between with or without taking account of precipitation. At last the main measures are given to reduce settlement.
